I find that a lot of albums randomly are split up in the music library with the new Anna update in my N8. Does anyone know what causes this?

I'm experiencing the same. The worst part is that I can't see a way to edit the track info yourself anymore.
Another feature that just got lost in Symbian.

I edit all my albums on my computer with a tag editor Kid3... Then double check in my music player Amarock. Then I hold my breath to see what the n8 music player will do.

Are the ID3 tags correct in the music files you have transferred?

The music player sorts the music based on the information found in the ID3 tags in the mp3 files.

I would suggest you use a tool like Mp3Tag and make sure the stored information in your music files are correct.  You can find the software here: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

you can edit the id3 tags in Nokia Suite as well... but I prefer Mp3Tag because it allows for batch edits and that speed things up if you have lots of albums

Well I went to any albums that were splitting and found that some of the tags for the songs had extra information. This seemed to cause problems. So I streamlined the tags so they all had the same info. Now it seems to be fine. It is just strange that the music player is so finicky about it. I open up my entire music collection in Amarock and things are sorted just fine. I guess at least I know what causes it.
