Has anyone else lost their £500's worth of nokia ?
Thank god for insurance. £25 excess charge, not bad for a £500 phone though.

Hei,
nice to hear.
I trying to have a good night sleep, not with an insurance, but having the Web Serwer installed on device.
With that you can see where phone is located and to whom the calls are made etc. Program can be started remotely.
I have also put a text message service in use to shut the device down if needed.
Those are not the same as incurance, but helps a bit.

Hi, Thanks for that info, I will download that when I get my replacement this morning.
I used the text message service to shut the phone down. that worked well, as I tried to dail the phone and it had succesfully been turned off.
I hope someone out there is happy with a bricked nokia that its only use is a fancy sliding mechanism, and a security code prompt at start up lol.

Hi,
Not sure how many are there, but I am also one of losing N97. I send it back and never want it back. I had 4 weeks time to return it back so within 2 weeks I got fed up with it.
There are some interesting features in N97 but when comparing bad and good of it .... bad are heavier than good so I decided to push it back. For me, the main reason was, it didn't satisfied user needs i.e. my needs.
Thank you!

That was an extremely stupid statement. you did not lose your phone. you give it back.
Did you report your "loss" to the police and have the phone blacklisted by your carrier ? Did you just see £500 going down the drain?.... I think not pal.

Hey cr46, thanks for your NICE REPLY. I didn't read the starting thread correctly (or I got confused later) and before I post the reply I think there was a gap between reading and replying the thread. I just post quickly later and after posting the message I cannot modify it.
However, saying someone 'stupid' is really offensive and I am wondering what the moderater are doing. Anyway, the point was that I was/am not happy with N97 that cost me 500 euros (not pounds).
thanks

the police aren't interested in nothing but getting payed at the end of the month. wasn't expecting them to give a **bleep** lol
Just for insurance purposes you need a Loss reference number
