Please help me after updating Symbian Belle on my N8 i have lost my saved messages,please help me to recover my lost messages because they were very important to me.

You can run the automatic backup that the Ovi suit does before the upgrade. But that should hold the messages in it. The best would have been if you did do manual backup before you started the update.

you mean that now i can not recover messages.there would me another way

If you did not backup your messages, they are lost. This happens because the phone is formatted during the upgrade to Symbian Belle. Why it is done in this manner I do not know. So if you do not have any backup everything that was on the phone is lost. That is contacts and messages.

So I hope that you have an backup in an older phone, if you do not have any backup on your pc.

Did the Nokia Suite do a Backup of your phone? What OS are you using on your PC? We can try determine if it has created a Back Up or not.

Yes Nokia suite did the backup and I am using windows 7.Please help If you can

Check under Libraries>>Documents>>Nokia Suite>>Backups and see if there aren't any files there?

oh thankyou so much.Yes I found the backup.Now the Messages are going back to the phone but The process is still 0%

Oh great!!! I got all my old messages back and I am very happy.
After backup,I lost my new messages but they were not important
