[6710 Navigator] How to keep the LCD always on when using the GPS?

Hi All,

I've just bought my new 6710 Navigator.

I tryed to use the GPS feature driving in my car but cannot see the map because the screen turns off after the energy saving settings.

Is there any option to keep the screen always on the using GPS?

Can I presume that you´re using Ovi Maps?

 

Within Ovi Maps go to options --> tools --> settings --> navigation -->backlight

 

Set that to always on!

Many thanks for your reply.

I think there is something wring with the software.

When I click on the Navigation button it backs to del "desktop" (gets out the option menu) without showing the Backlight option you say...

Maybe you should consider reinstalling it in order to make it work again!

Hi, problem fixed only with hardware reset.

Lots of problem with this cell... I hope Nokia will fix all this with a new firmware.

I am not happy for all these problems, I don't think 6710 is a good purchase now.
