Hi!

My name is Aleksandar, and I`m owner of nokia 6630. I Have problem wit setting Mp3 for a ringtone. When I select Mp3 record for a ringtone, there is Dialog box which say that the phone didn`t support selected sound format, but the sound record realy is MP3? What can it be? Please help me!

Hi,
6630 supports MP3 format. It might be possible that your MP3 file is not correct format. Have you tried other MP3 files?

where did the mp3 come from? as suggested it may be wrong mp3 format.

Hi!

My nokia 6630 is branded with vodafone logo. That means that mp3 can be played but can`t be put as a ringtone. For that purpose I must convert mp3 in to a AAC (mp4) so I can put it as ringtone...
I was readed this at some mobile forums where is wrote that vodafone & nokia made a deal so the mp3 are blocked for ringtone use, except if you bought it from the vodafone site...
users made comlains and they stoped that deal, but still I cant put mp3 for a ringtone...
Can I found, somewere, some kind of software for solving this silly problem?

If you update your phone's firmware (aka software) to the latest Vodafone variant then this MAY solve your problem:

If not, then you'll have to find somewhere willing to flash generic firmware to your handset or you'll have to change phones I'm afraid.
