when i'm recieving calls my screen is blank and doesn't display the callers details i understand the screen shuts down when you are making a call so you don't knock the touch screen but surly you should be able to see who is calling you so you can accept or reject

The screen should only blank if it's near your face.  It's not normal that it blanks as soon as you receive the call.

 

The cause is that the phones proximity sensor is either blocked or faulty.  Some screen protectors and some cases can cause this odd behaviour.  If you are using either remove them and see if it behaves normally.

 

If it doesn't then it is faulty so contact the retailer or a nokia care point.
