5800XM battery life is short

Hi

My 5800 battery lasts only 2 days, when i remove the sd card then 3 days. been 2 times in service, but they say that the battery and phone are ok and did a firmware update. After first time in service, it lasted 5 days 2-3 charging times.

After the second service time they also said, that the battery and phone are ok, but did the hard reset. I got the phone back and after 2 days the unit is dead(in the evening battery indicator is full, in the morning the phone is dead).

Re: 5800XM battery life is short

Wow.. you should be happy with 2 days!

My battery doesn't even last close to a day.

- Take it off charge at 7am.

- Listen to music for half an hour on my way to work.

- Send a few texts and occasionally add reminders to my calendar during the day.

- By 6pm I need to charge the phone again.

This is a replacement, but supposedly authentic, Nokia battery. My old battery used to last at least twice as long as my new one, but it broke.

Re: 5800XM battery life is short

My old 3510i used to last nearly 2 weeks!

Now I'm lucky to get a couple of days out of this.

I just wonder how much the podcast refresh is draining the battery over wifi?

It's set to do this at around 22h00, and obviously finishes shortly after as there are only ever 1 or 2 new podcasts, yet the following morning, it's still connected over wifi.

Maybe there are some services in the background that are draining it? wifi, gps, bluetooth, 3g.....?
