Newbie... just need to help...

I know there are several threads about the MTP Device pop up, and although I know that I can disable the device in Device Manager, and that does not seem to work for me...

I have tried connecting it using Mass Storage/Media etc... and it does connect to a certain extent but, all I really want to be able to do is use PC Suite for Syncing with my Calendar....

Any help would be great in trying to get it connected properly.  I recognises that it is connected to a USB cable and that it is PC Suite, but does not carry on with connecting... it stops at the MTP Device popping up, there are several others like the USB Modem that pop up ok... but it just won't connect...

I have tried it on Vista and XP (SP3)....

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Try another USB port or connect via Bluetooth.

Thanks for your response, I have tried all the USB Ports on the both of the PC's I use... it makes no difference, plus the PC's I use don't have Bluetooth capabilities...

Okay, I think that you drivers got messed up. Why don't you remove Nokia PC Suite and install it again? Uninstall Nokia Software Updater if you got it on your PC.

May be the drivers that windows provide for MTP devices is corrupted.

I have tried again on the Vista laptop, and managed to get it connected...

Don't think I can get it connected to my work PC though, shame cos that's were my email is....
