I have the following problem with my Nokia 5800XM: Since I often carry my telephone in my jacket pocket, I find it very disturbing that almost every time I receive a call, while trying to get the telephone from the pocket I already accidentally answer the call or reject it. What I found out was that the touch screen commands become active with every incoming call, regardless of whether the phone was previously locked or unlocked and regardless of whether the “any key answer” function is enabled or disabled (the only difference between this function being enabled and disabled is in the ability to accept calls also with the “white” (menu) button). The result of this is that unless I pull the telephone out of my pocket using the attached string, I am almost certain to accidentally press one of the touch screen commands… Know of any solutions to the problem?

I don't understand how you have this problem. I keep the phone in my pocket with the screen facing my leg, then when I go to pull it out, just reach around the back/sides of my phone. The only way this should happen is if you have the screen facing the same direction you put your hand in.

Perhaps what is contributing to the problem is that I keep my phone in a leather casing (original Nokia casing), which is, as I found out after I already bought it, not very practical...

Does any one know of an application, which would allow me to lock the screen and keep it locked also when I receive a call - overriding the original settings and allowing me to unlock the screen only with the usage of the "unlock button"? I got such advice at the Nokia Care center, but they unfortunately didn't give me more specific instructions.

Now I see where you're coming from. I used to answer calls accidentally with the case on too, so I sold it to my friend who is also complaining about it

You could try having a look on the Ovi store, but I'm not sure there's anything like that on there yet.

Has this ever been solved ? I also have a case around my watch and continuously lose imcoming calls.

I'd like to use the screen unlock switch before anything gets switched on... :-(
