hi, im having problems converting video files and playing it on the 5800 phone, can you uys recommend a video converter and what file extensions does the video players use? i tried to play MP4 files but there is no video only sound. any help would be much appreciated, thanks

It is a matter of trial and error and no one program works all of the time. But you should convert to MP4.

Try Internet TabletVideo Converter from Nokia. It works most of the time for me.

Also, try  Ulead Video Toolbox that came on the mini DVD with your 5800.

You can also try SUPER. It is a free program that converts most programs to most others.

yes i had converted it to MP4 but still only the sound plays, no video i had used nokias ITVC fro nokia, and numerous video converters,. do i still have to use the OVI suite when transferring, can it just be trransferred in mass storage?

I basically hunt and peck when converting to MP4. Sometimes with the same video converting program, I will get the sound only and other times I won't. It seems to be real hit and miss.

I never use OVI to transfer. I attach in PC Suite mode and use the file manager. 

Of course, I am nowhere near 100% successful. Just telling you my experiences.
