Hi,

First up the 5800 is a great phone except for this one thing which is driving me insane. 

The screen rotation. As it stands now the screen rotates when I don't want it to. I am not sure if it is because I am left handed or how I am holding the phone but every so often  it will switch and I have to hold the device back in a fixed position to stop it switching.

I tried switching off rotation but there appears to be no way to manually switch the rotation. I'd be happy if I could even just lock it in landscape mode but that isn't even an option.  

Is there a way to do this?

Have you got the latest firmware version? I think they tweaked the automatic screen rotation a bit with the updates to adjust the sensitivity.

You're right though, they should have included an option for locking it in horizontal mode as an alternative to vertical locking. Maybe in another update? Who knows...

I'm afraid there is no way of manually rotating the screen apart from using the built in sensor. I found it annoying at first, but am now a great fan of the auto rotate function. I had switched it off but too often came across instances where it's use was a distinct advantage.

My phone says it has the latest firmware but I don't think it is according to the version numbers online.
