@BullHorn7 - I remembered you were carping about no email on homescreen. I was fiddling with my phone and I realized I can have email on the new homescreen along with contacts, shortcuts and the music widget thing! Only thing is that if you choose it to show, there is too little space for a calendar with tasks to put in.

That's not what I was 'carping' about. They removed the email from the old homescreen. The new homescreen is useless without the calendar and tasks but now the old one is without email.

If you DO have email on your old homescreen it is probably because you didn't hard reset your phone after updating.

One question though. I remembered on v31, after I updated, I gave it a hard reset to get the email. Then it disappeared after a hard reset due to an app that doesnt want to be uninstalled. Then I gave it another hard reset. and got it back. Have you tried a second hard reset?

Hi, I have the same problem, if i set up the shortcut home screen there is only the agenda, but there is so much space to put the email notification.

Has anyone tried this? Can we get email notifications back with the Shortcuts Bar theme?

In cant get my e-mail notification on the shortcuts bar homescreen.

I've been looking all over and everyone reports the same problem.

I have attached a few screenshots to show what i mean.

@chanchan: could you please provide a screenshot of your homescreen with the email notification.

you can use screen snap application to take the screenshots

Re: 5800's new and old homescreen changes with v40 FW

The email on my homescreen disappeared a week after I posted. When I posted here my v40 update was about a day old. Turns out some people also had this happen to them.

Oh yeah, the email is available on contacts bar. Further inspection showed that the folder inside C drive which controls the email notification has disappeared. It probably happened when my battery ran out on me. The phone turning off without power might have prepped the phone to initialize everything upon boot up thus removing it.
