Hey... I had the same issue and just got it rectified in my 5800.
You will need one of your older phone backup files (*.nbu) files.
Connect your phone to the Laptop/PC first backup your exisiting data.
Then choose to restore again. Select the older phone backup file and select Only the Settings and Phone Memory Files and do a restore.
It worked for me. I am not sure how lucky you are... ![]()

Hi... I tried disabling and enabling the log......it worked for me .
To do the same
From the Main menu ..open Log
press OPTIONS
select SETTINGS
open LOG DURATION
Select "No Log"
press OK.
Now restart the phone and then when you press the green call button you will see.. call logging is not enabled.
Follow the same steps above and enable it (Set to 30 Days).
Now if you open the call log you should see "no dialed no" or "no recieved calls" etc. this means its fixed and it sould start logging the calls.
You may also try clearing or resetting the call logs.

It's weird, for me it worked recovering everything from the back up file but the Settings ![]()

I tried it!
1) Open Log
2) Options - Settings - Set log duration : no log
3) Restart mobile
4) Open Log: says no log, setting some duration
5) Options - Settings - Say: duration = 30 days (!!!) - Set duration : no log
6) Restart mobile
7) Open Log: says no log, setting some duration
8) Options - Settings - Say: duration = no log (it's correct answer) - Set duration : 30 days
9) Restart mobile
10) Open Log: says no log entry
It's works.
