Hey there,

pls can anyone out there help me out? My Nokia 5800 right after update to the newest version stoped to be able to refresh library in music player correctly. It just goes on and on, still refreshing, but never finds anything and never stops searching :/ 

I'd say that this is a bit of a problem for a MUSIC phone. I'd like to have some new songs there of course

I did reinstall the system once again and no change happened. Is there a way to go back to my previous version of the system? I don't like this fancy new one. It has even more problems, few freezes already experienced and the last one was perfectly OK.

Maybe the problem was that I didn't backup the phone and left all files in it while updating, even though before it wasn't a problem.

Any other clues that might help me or someone with the same problem?

Hi KubecJan

Many firmware updates need to do hard reset after update. That problem was also in my E51 and was solved by that.

To do hard reset do the following :
1) backup everything " except phone settings "

2) remove the memory card

3) turn off the phone

4) press the green "call " key + "Red" key + "Camera" key , all the three keys sustain and don't stop pressing any

5) while doing step 4 , turn on your phone

6) if things done right , after the phone starts , a message saying "select country " will shows up
And if not repeat again .
