5800 XM Home Screen Problem

I am experiencing the exact same home screen problem as posted by gnasher on 7th of July. But my home screen problem started after Nokia replaced the faulty LCD with the new one and after 2 hours of using the phone with the new LCD it hanged when trying to retrieve email ....I restarted the phone and that was when I experienced the home screen problem as gnasher.

Since there was no answer to gnasher's post ...I decided to put my own post highlighting this problem with the homescreen and in my case there is an additional problem ...while in idle mode with the homescreen ...the green button is unusable ....before this problem started,I can use the green button as a shortcut to access all phone calls history i.e missed, answered and dialed calls ...but now ....I couldn't.
