5800 Low vibrations

When in silent mode, the vibrations arent strong / loud enough. Any way to change this?

Thanks

I don't see a way of changing that other than turning it on or off.

Go to Settings/Personal/Profiles.

Select Silent; Select Options/Customize.

Page down to Touch Screen Vibration, choose desired level.

Select Options/Exit.

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

That is exactly what it sounds like, "touch screen vibration". It is the feedback when touching the phone screen. You'll see it active in the normal profile as well. The poster wants to increase the vibration of the phone itself when in silent mode. I do not see a setting for that

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

I did not mean touch screen vibration.

When the phone is restarted ( when the button is held for a few seconds to start up the phone ), the vibration intensity is quite high, so I was assuming that the same could be done in silent mode...

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

Wait, my assumption is that in the default silent profile you want stronger vibrations? What I did was create my own vibrating profile. Go to Menu>Settings>Personal>Profiles>Options>Create New.

Set it as such:

Ringing tone: off

Ringing type: ringing (this is important)

ringing volume: bleh, whatever you want

Message alert tone: off

Keytones: ^_^

Vibrating alert: on

Vid call tone: off

email tone: off

warning tones: off

say caller's name: off

3d ring tone effect: off

touch screen vibration: what you want?

touch screen tones: off

alert for: all calls

profile name: vibrating

This profile vibrates stronger for me that trying to set the silent profile to vibrate.

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

I have the same problem with this phone. At first, the vibrations were good. The phone actually vibrated TWICE every time I got a text message. Now, it barely lasts half a second. I have done a hard reset on the phone, so I don't know if that has any effect on it.

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

Sorry I made a mistake. In the profile settings I mentioned a while ago, that was for my silent mode. My vibrating mode isnt exactly silent, but the volume is set so low that it cant be heard:

Its set like this:

Ringing tone: off

Ringing type: ringing (this is important)

ringing volume: lowest setting

Message alert tone: something that lasts long

Keytones: ^_^

Vibrating alert: on

Vid call tone: off

email tone: off

warning tones: off

say caller's name: off

3d ring tone effect: off

touch screen vibration: what you want?

touch screen tones: off

alert for: all calls

profile name: vibrating

Re: 5800 Low vibrations

I take it that there is no way I can increase the intensity.
