Just for info i just checked the Nokia Software checker page and

product 0585162 is available Via NSU woot...

with the issues i have seen on this forum is it advised to install it and this time i will back up first??

Just remember the old adage... If it ain't broke, don't fix it...!

If you must do it, backup then hard reset *#7370# then format mass storage then *#7370# again

Then do the update

Then hard reset again *#7370#

Cross fingers!

When you restore, restore as little as possible. If you can just do contacts do it, then install anything else fresh.
