lutin  I was very happy to get my hands on my 5530.Actually is a very good looking phone simple and nice. But a batter phone that an 5800 no chance. I tell u that i had 5800 and now i have 5530 and u can't say is better

I've been using the phone for a week now and i haven't faced any problem, but yes some lags here and there which will be fixed in the next firmware.

Everytime when i lock my phone ,when press the lock swith on the screen just under mail notification appear a lil box and it says "menu".That happens just before sreen fade black.I found it pretty annoing,coz dont know why it happen,but on other side atleast dont seem to make any problems to phone..just a sotware bug i think...

Anyone have same issue?!

 Found solution..just used restore to fabric settings..and the annoing box dissapear...hope for good

can anybody tell me the use of the red button at the bottom. I am unable to use it. I assume its for cancelling a function. but its not happening for me. is it only for me or for every1. i got my set just 2 days back.

Big issue after 3 days with photo camera:

The screen is just black with the buttons working fine. When i take a pic with that black screen, it will say "processing image" for longer than usual then return an "Unexpected error occurred. Restard phone" error message.  When I restart(off then on) the phone, everything's gonna be alright again.  But only until you use the camera & video again.  (Just change the modes and it will come out again.)

it seems some nokia 5800 users had same problems but can't find any solutions...i m starting to hate this phone

any suggestions comments ??

I'm from Portugal, bought the 5530 just a few days ago from TMN-Portugal and basically my main problem is the amount of reboots that the phone has. These automatically reboots happens when i'm working with the phone or just simple let the phone alone and sometines you notice that the initial nokia logo is showing on the screen meaning that another reboot was made.

Yesterday after another reboot i loose all my messages on the phone! This is really bad i hope a new firmware update fixes this problems, also i know that users from 5800 have reported similar problems with their phones.. I sure hope Nokia fix this problems otherwise i will buy a new one and replace this.

Hy. Best u can do at this time (till a new firmware will be relese) is to go to Nokia Service. Very likely they will rewrite your soft and i am very sure your problem will be solved. I have a few issues with my 5530 but i will wait an firmware. My problems are very 'light' compare it to yours. My phone restarts but only when i turn on the phone. THE BIG PROBLEM HERE IS THAT NOKIA RELESED ON MARKET A PHONE WITH VERY BIG ISSUES. AND THEY STILL NOT LUNCHING ANY FIRMWARE TO FIX THOSE ISSUES.NOKIA SLEEPS.

You can reinstall OS without going to service. Just type *#7370# into the phone programm.

The most interesting thing is that the phone is available on market since August 4. Exactly for a 4 weeks. Almost a month. And it's still not present on Ovi site.

hey guys can someone tell me if there is a problem with setting custom wallpapers?

when i try to use a picture other than the default theme ones the top few cm of the screen still has the old wallpaper showing behind it....  iv never had this problem on a phone before it seems very weird

i've had my 5530 for just over 24hrs...unfortunately for me, the WH-205 headphones (for which there is absolutely no trouble shooting or advice on this site) are not working properly...but i've already had one instance of lines across the screen and then restart so i'm a little  lets hope the update comes out soon...

hardly it will happen in visible future. the phone came out to market almost two months ago. and it's still not on ovi site. looks like nokia completely disowned this phone... two 5800 firmwares out since 5530 in shops. quite bad situation for the phone of such price (which is far from to be low budget, but cost as much as 5800)

I do. I´ll take it to service point , the second time. The first one they just upgraded the firmware. I thing it´s an Hardware Issue. I tried different SIM CARDS, Different Batteries ( of the same kind of course ), with / Without Memory Card, Hard Reset...with no luck.

anyone know how i can stop my 5530 from playing that god awful nokia tune, ive set a ringing tone for the profile still nokia tune plays, ive set custom tones for peoples numbers guess what nokia tune its driving me mad. lil help

Do you guys feel call volume(with handset) is a bit on the low side even at 100%? Will firmware fix these type of volume issues? 

Do you guys have the battery wobble/shake problem? If so, did you do anything to fix it?

Great phone overall if you exclude these to setbacks.

Use some blu-tack to stop the wobble

Well i bought this 5530 yesterday, ive tryed it out its a nice phone but got some things to ask maybe there is a answer to this, or this is a project that isnt finnisht. if so can you pleas add this Major issue cuz i wanna call people that are not in my list...

This is my problem:

ive didnt update my mobile before ,since ive got the problem i tryed to fix it. the Main menu interface is gone i can see the buttons but i think the script is gone of it no pictures only buttons, i cant activate my Dail device tagg its empty, even my Contact list buttons is there but ofc empty, if i activate my Email app. it shows a empty bar "you can click it but notting happens" only activated on the main screen are clock, media button and Green,menu and red(cancel) button,

well i dont care about it atm, cuz i can switch for a new one, tryed to change themes but did'nt work the interface of the mobiel is just screwed up from day 2 lolz guys plz fix it its a bad name for Nokia, every one starts with a project. We all start somehow but dont bring a mobile on the market when you cant dail a unknown nr...

Had mine for about a month now and I love it. Any issues I've had have been very minor and easily sorted with a restart. One thing though, when is the 5530 going to show in the Ovi store??

i have mine for over 2 months and i guess nowhen. still there is a new firmware is out - v11.0.54. yet no visible changes and noticable fixes.
