Bugs (or something):
1. When enetering media menu with media button and then turn to Maps tab, there are a few shortcuts there to some famous places around the world:
Unter den Linden - Berlin
Burj al-Arab - Dubai
The Opera house - Sydney
Broadway - New York
The Louvre - Paris
This list with shortcuts won't update when I use Maps. The only thing that happens is that the first shortcut to Unter den Linden changes address from Berlin to my last known GPS-position. For example the first shortcut becomes:
Unter den Linden - Somestreet, Somewhere, Sweden
The rest of the list stays the same.
2. I can't transfer/download programs from Nokia Download! to my phone. When downloading to computer and trying to copy to phone via PC Suite and Nokia Download! software I get two messages:
"Complete the installation on your mobile device."
"Operation failed. Try again later."
If I try downloading the programs directly through Download! on the phone, I get the following message when the download is about to begin (translated from swedish):
"The download of the object failed."

Also the MyNokia application just says it is "not available in your country", this seems odd for a phone made specifically for North America.

I think the new Feature Pack is very buggy. As a software engineer myself I'd be very worried about so many bugs popping up all over the place when only a few new features were added...

The Operator Menu is just that - it is provided by the operator. They can set this to go to a web page or another level of the menu structure.
Which operator are you on?

And when i used N73 "Softbank"(japan version 750NK) the music player cannot be shut down by C key either.
So as my N78, and it's HK version, and i heard that N78 is also a MUSIC advanced Mobile so the music function might be protected by the system for it's precedence.
And 6120 device however, one of my roomates is using it, and it might be the "cheapest device with the best function",i mean, the function is good but the price is low.And i think it might not be a music-smart phone so it can shut down the musicplayer using C key just like other applications.
Kind regard form a chinese boy.

If so though, it's nothing but a pain. There are almost no terrible consequences to turning off my music by accident. And now I have to hit "Left key > Up > Up > Select" just to quit.
It's ironic that Nokia has added the Task List to every menu and then made that Task List less useful by making some tasks un-killable.

The carkit paring problem with the CK-7W was already mentioned.
I've tested several carkits:
Parrot CK3000 EVOLUTION - Does not pair (the one I have in my car)
Parrot 3200 LS-COLOR - Does not pair
Parrot MINIKIT - Does not pair
(Nokia CK-7W - Does not pair)
I all the cases the Nokia can find the carkit but can't pair.
My theory is the following:
Nokia wanted to set another step in ease of use with automatic pairing. If I pair to the supported Nokia BT headset BH-300 (my temporary 'carkit') it does not ask for the pincode and pairing is made easy. For sure there is some protocol to support that and the 'older' carkits above do not understand this and Nokia did put any effort in backwards compatibility.
Did another test to try to 'proof' the above:
A TomTom device (tested with GO 930 HD Traffic)can act as a carkit but the TomTom takes the initiative to find the phone. TomTom finds the phone and pairs ok! So then the TomTom is probably the one who decides about how to pair.
I contacted Nokia support about the CK3000 and the CK-7W and got back the standard answer the Parrot is not a Nokia and the CK-7W was not on the compatibility list.
Got back to them and said that I can read the compatibility list as well and do not expect a direct solution but tell it to the developers at least! They told my they would do that.
Now backwards compatibility:
Did a quick research on that and I -think- the BT standars prescribes that the newer BT standards are backwards compatible. If this is the case Nokia did not implement BT in the N78 according the standard and do we have a 'case'.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge about BT standars can verify this. Anyone?
I have N78 RM-235 (Europe), SW version: 12.046 (2008-06-25)
Thanks,
Willem

I have 12.046 in my RM-235 Nokia N78 and it certainly pairs correctly with my CK-7W.
On the first introduction of the N78 to the carkit, (BT already switched on in N78), I had to enter pin code 0000. I set CK-7W to be authorised to automatically connect. After that, it just connects directly without me doing anything. I sometimes disconnect (to avoid interrupting radio broadcasts) and when I want to reconnect, I long-press the CK-7W button (approx 2 seconds) and it automatically re-connects without any further fuss.

That is partially good news (your is working :-)
I saw in the various posts that it works for some but not for others.
I expect that there are different hardware revisions of the CK-7W on the market.
I can find the CK-7W, select pair. It does not prompt for the pin-code but gives an error message instead.
Tried with two CK-7W's and with two N78's (same sw level)
I have a CK-7W in my wifes car and checked if I could find anything usefull on the sticker.
This CK-7W is about 4 - 4½ years old.
020138 (no label on the sticker, this number is on the left)
HW: 0401 (hopefully this is the hardware revision number)
Barcode: 0202381/63/008305 L16 type HF-5
Made in Hungary (no offense!)
the 2nd CK-7W, about the same age (I used to be guinea pig for new carkits for company cars):
020138
No HW code or it was where the sticker was damaged
Barcode: 0516735/93/231694 L43 Type HF-5
Made in Hungary
Maybe others with success or non-success can check if we can get knowledge about hardware revisions with this information.
Thanks, Willem

When they program an alarm for day specify of the week, taken into account alarm is not the day chosen but the day of its creation.
Example: the Monday I program an alarm so that it rings every Friday. After validation this one is taken into account not to ring every Fridays but Monday.

You mean a single beep and a short vibrating pulse? That is confirmation that the message has been sent. It is not a bug.

My IMAP email will not do an automatic email update, it says it's "updating mailbox", makes one tiny bar of progress and quits.
My CK-7W continues to have drop outs with most calls on the N78 yet works perfectly with my 6120c and my wife's 6131. It makes a bluetooth car kit useless.
The navi-wheel is still so sensitive I frequently push the select button and discover I also managed to move the selection to the next item. Very annoying because now you have to wait for Maps (for example) to start and then quit it just to get back to the menu to choose the Music Player you were trying for.
