please take the time to read, its quite a tale lol,
before the update to fix battery problems when i took my phone off charge my phone would report 100% battery life and around 1 day 4-7 hours remaining before any usage after charging, i would always check,
NOW.....yesterday i charged my phone, it finished charging at 8pm, i did not use my phone last night, spent all night on my laptop, so no internet running, no apps on, and no calls, so basically standby all night until my alarm woke me at 7am, at 10am this morning my phone battery report was 33% and 4 hours remaining, i was pretty much astounded to find overnight with NO use it had drained itself 66% and had 4 hours of usage left before i actually did anything to it, after a call to my phone company and an 10 minute internet phone was critical so i put it on charge,
SO.....bare with me here and please help if you can,
i then charged my phone again after 14 hours since it's last full charge, when it had finished charging battery saver reported 96% battery left and 19 hours of usage remaining, NOT even a 100% report immediately after coming of charge and not ONE single day usuage before ANY use, it had literally just come out the wall so to speak, surely my phones battery is dead now?? upon finding this i emailed nokia support for some advice, after half an hour spent typing it out and browsing a few sites my battery reported 73% and 2, yes TWO hours remaining after a HALF an hour since last charge use, i'm left thinking WHAT, so i put my phones lock on and pop it in my pocket, 10 miutes later i take it out, check battery status and what do i find, its gone from 73% 2 hours left to 66% 12 hours left??? WHAT, a 7% DEcrease but a 10 hour increase?? strange? you bet, please some advice, what is happening,

Well one thing's for sure, it's deffo not right.
Not sure what to suggest that Nokia support hasn't already, but just to check; you are using the charger supplied with the Lumia?
Try a hard reset, if you have the energy, and then as you add apps check to see if there is one particular app that sucks power - it shouldn't of course, but the alternative is to take it back to the point of purchase as it is definately not performing acceptably.
I have screen on High brightness, using wifi, GPS, stream internet radio about 1 hour a day, and have never come close to emptying my battery in a day.

yeah, i only use charger supplied thats for sure, i have been through a hard reset after the update because i wasn't happy with the fact my soft keys no longer work on medium or high brightness so in the dark there nowhere to be seen so i contacted nokia, they said first try a hard reset, so i did that, and that was only a few days ago so don't see that working, i'm still waiting for nokia support to email back, i couldn't do all that on my phone unless i left it plugged in the wall all day lol,

It's normal for the Time remaining to vary as this is only an estimate worked out by the current drain on the phone at that moment.
eg, If you're playing a game on the phone, Screen lit up, processor/memory under heavy load, Network data usage. the phone is going to be drawing more power so the phone will estimate it's time remaining going by those statistics so your time will be drastically low.
You put the phone to sleep and put it in your pocket, the screen is drawing no power, the processor running at the bare minimum so the load decreases. the phone then recalculates it's remaining time left base on those figures hence you will get a higher time remaining.
In both cases, the battery % will still be decreasing. but it is normal for the time to vary.
Regarding the battery life overnight, this can depend on several factors, signal strength, apps running in the background (using network etc).
If you genuinely think there is a fault with the handset, I would suggest taking it to your nearest Nokia Care Point for them to look into the issue
