NOKIA CARE CENTER EXPERIENCE @ BANGALORE......and LUMIA EXPERIENCE

I've recently bought Nokia Lumia800. Last week I have called up your customer care and reported various issues I'm facing  with your latest Nokia product "Lumia 800".  As per your support executive advice I have visited one of your Nokia Care Center nearest to my residence "Aditi Communications, 1st Floor,No 1304,1305,1306,Above Vodafone Store,16th B cross,Near Bhommasandra Circle,New Town,Yelhanka-560064” for upgrading the software to latest version.

Before I explain about the issue....the folks working in this center doesn't know anything about the product and they don't have appropriate infrastructure for supporting such products. They confirmed that, software needs to be upgraded to latest version 1600.2483.8107.xxxx from existing version 1600.2483.8107.11500. Initially they said it will take 30 mins and I had to wait for almost 4 hours. But they couldn't do the upgrade. I was using HTC phone since Windows Phone launch I didn’t face any such issues for software upgrade…it used to update automatically using Zune software but it is not the case with this product, it always says “no updates available”. Nokia care told me all the data will be formatted for upgrading the software this was not the case with my HTC windows phone. It automatically updates without disturbing the applications and data. To avoid any misuse I had reset the phone and handed over them for upgrade. I have wasted my 3 hours time by sitting in Nokia care and wasted time to reach that place. Really frustrated with the way they handled customer. If they don’t have proper infrastructure then they shouldn’t be accepting or committing bullish to the customers. Now I have to reconfigure everything.

They simply bullishing, this is what they told me “since it is a Windows Phone there is no direct way to upgrade and they can’t guarantee the approx. for upgrades….it may take sometimes 30 mins to max 4 hours…..I didn’t see any commitment with these folks at Nokia care and doesn’t know how to take care the customers properly. Yes your service is only meant for NOKIA CARE but not for CUSTOMER CARE. Worst experience I had so far in my life with customer care….  No wonder why your market share is dipping day by day.

Now I will wait for the update on Zune to push…rather than wasting my time standing in the queue and seeing your NOKIA CARE executive’s CUSTOMER CARING face.

Listed are the issues I’m facing with your latest product. Look at your call history for the complaints I have reported.

  • Weak Signal (HTC Mozart is having full signal in same location with same operator)
  • Poor Battery backup (even after disabling all the background services, with reduced mail sync options)
  • Heating up (if work on this phone for 15 minutes continuously then I can make omelet with the temperature)
  • During Call pick up  - Vibration is not available (HTC Mozart has this fantastic feature, when I make a call to someone if they attend the call then HTC Mozart vibrates immediately). This helps in not holding the phone on ear piece.
  • Internet Sharing (not available)

Till TODAY I WAS A BIG FAN OF NOKIA PHONES, HAD USED 5510, 3310, 6610, 6230, E71, E72. I STRONGLY FEEL THAT I WASTED MY MONEY PUTTING 29K FOR BUYING THIS PHONE WITH THE KIND OF SUPPORT YOUR NOKIA CARE HAS PROVIDED TODAY.

@ajithk1

Sorry that service has not measured up to your expectations, but it seems that if your Lumia 800 was already running 1600.2483.8107.11500 Zune/MS version there is only 1600.2483.8107.11501 available which is the Nokia Care version.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

However if my answer also solves your problem clickingbelow it will benefit other users!

Re: NOKIA CARE CENTER EXPERIENCE @ BANGALORE......and LUMIA EXPERIENCE

Nokia Care in India really is BAD

I went to a nokia Care in Goa
*1st nokia care i visited, they were happy to see a N8
*2nd nokia care, not accepting a problem in my mobile (as Nokia care & nokia store dint want to spoil der name )

& it took them 2 months to replace my mobile ( was without mobile for 2 months ) would be good if they gave me a nokia headset or sumthing for bad service but nathing.

switched from motorola to nokia (best customer service in India, turn up wrong)

Wish could message Elop
