This new update screwed up the battery status on my Lumia too. I'm going back to original firmware in case it overcharges the battery or something bad like that. This situation is batcrap scary, Nokia needs to address this issue, fast.

Yup same here.
Nokia? do we realy need to uninstall the update to prevent the battery from overcharging or running completly empty and causing battery damage?

I'm having the same problem. It was okay for a couple of days after I put the upgrade on, but the next time I plugged into my computer, the battery started displaying empty and a question mark. When I go to the battery saver thing on my phone, while it's plugged in it's displaying 23%, yet when I unplug it's displaying 53%. I have no idea how much battery life is actually on my phone. Now I rely on my phone, and this is extreamly dissapointing.
It's not even like I can take my sim card out and use my Nokia N97, because IT TAKES A SMALLER SIM CARD.
when I try ##634# and check my battery life it's telling me it's charged 0% even though it's been on charge for 3 hours. Somebody please help me, or at least tell me how to un-install the new update.

Unfortunately I do not seem to have a back up in the Zune software. How long will we have to wait for a new update? This is a big disappointment
