I installed the new Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0.1.35 for my Nokia 5800 Music Express.

Since then I am not able to syn the contacts of Outlook 2003. I am able to syn the calender and notes with Outlook 2003. When I try to syn the contacts it gives the error message " sync cancelled. Reconnet USB cable ......80043a9c"

Anybody with the same problem?

I got the exact same problem exact I'm trying to sync with Windows contacts and nothing happens when you reconnect the cable. Anyone know what to do?

Yup, I'm getting EXACTLY the same problem.

Also I don't like the fact that it only syncs up to 4 weeks back and 12 months forth of Calendar and Tasks. I like to keep a longer period of calendar entries than that.

I found that I have the same syn problem regarding messages.

I agree with oinkd. I got annoyed when I realised that some of the calender entries I made for December 2011 were not transferred to outlook and vice versa.

I like to plan ahead! lol Ovi isn't giving me that option which makes me an unhappy camper.

I still cannot sync. I can send messages via Ovi Suite but nothing syncs.

I just found out that I am able to access the message on the phone through ovisuite. But no sync. Not able to syn the messages may not be big problem for me. But not able to syn my contacts will be. Nokia, please help!!

Hi, I have the same problems with thesynchronisation. Agenda en Tasks syncs oke. Contacts sync gives code 80043a9c. Fotos and music tells me that there is no information on the pc and not on my N5800 XpressMusic. That is very odd, because I have 5 Gig on music data on both machines.

Please Nokia, fix this problem!!

It appears that the problem appeared with the ovisuite upgrade. There are others with very similar problem. I found a thread with similar problem. Till nokia comes up with a solution, I may just have keep going through the forum discussions.

It is interesting to note that  error code in Draadhaar's ovisuite is exactly the same as mine. I am also not able to see the photos and music.

I am not sure what to do. I definitely need the phone contacts to syn with outlook.

Whether to wait for a bug fix from Nokia or uninstall and install pc suite software? Anybody with experience of having installed both ovisuite and pc suite?

Are there third party software for syn with outlook?

Because of the ovi probs then I use both that and pc suite at the moment. No problems with running both side by side.

Have you got installed OVI Contacts application on your phone?  Or have you ever syched your contacts with ovi.com before syncing it with NOS 2.0?

I have only the usual phone book in my phone. I am hearing about Ovicontacts application for the phone for the first time. I will look up in the ovistore. Is this some thing you will be able to download from the ovistore?

I will keep you posted on how I progress.

do you know whether installing ovicontacts application will sort out the synchronisation problem with outlook?

As far as I know, you don't need to install ovi contacts. It's just an application that easily links to your contacts online (on your ovi account)

It won't sort it out because I've tired it and just removed it because A, it didn't work and B, I'm down to 7MB of memory :@

OVI Contacts is a phone application, installed on phone. Its not like, if you dont have OVI Contacts installed on your phone, you cannot sync your contacts with NOS 2.0.  I just want to check, if your handset has got this application installed on your phone ?

I don't have ovicontacts installed in my phone. I have no plans of synchronising with the online ovi.

I looks as if I just have to give up hope with ovisuite. As suggested by ridder I have to install pcsuite and get it to syn the phone till

I found out that the problem is not just with contacts, it is there with photos, files etc. Strange, the only thing which gets synchronised properly are the notes, calender and tasks.

will get back to you with any problems on running both ovisuite and pc suite.

Anybody know whether Nokia is aware of the problemes many are facing?
