Hello sir i had problems with ovi suite 2.Ovi suite 2 had problem of syncing with my nokia 2700, On sync, it used to copy one contact to any other contact.I mean if i have my name and number as first name and mobile number respectively,after sync with ovi suite you'll get any other persons name and number copied to my contact as last name and work phone.

So result is
First name will be mine and last name will be my friends name or any other persons name &
My number will be as it is,but my work number will be my friend or any other persons number.

OMG

I thought it will be not a case with ovi suite 3.
Here after sync there will be double contact.

We are all having our nokia phones with hundreds and thousands of contacts.
We never wanted 1.Same contact copied twice or thrice in our phone contacts.We only want one direction sync.Complete control of sync in our hands.
2.No two contacts should be mixed.
Except this ovi suite is very good.

Hi, did you use Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284? What software version your phone has?

I have the same problem,

Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284.

I deleted all contacts from phone, from ovi.com contacts,  then updated phone from outlook via pc suite to make it clean.

Then set phone to update oneway only to ovi.com, my contacts gets doubled.  ( I have USB cable connected)

Making the sync from ovi suite from pc, makes it crash halfway during sync.  I have win 7 64.  Seems to be related,  tried with both bt and usb connection.

I am surprised over the quality of this product,  will say that pc suite seems more reliable and does not advice anyone to make sync using ovi suite until this is fixed.

Could you please provide more information regarding this issue?

-System Information (help-about Ovi Suite-System information-Copy and paste)
-- Enable log gathering by double-clicking the enable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start enabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are enabled" dialogue
- Exit Nokia Ovi Suite from File - Exit. This is mandatory! Closing NOS to system tray is not enough!
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite again
- Try to reproduce the error you are reporting
- If the error still exists, double click the collect_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start collecting the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs collect & zip finished" dialogue
- Attach the NOS2_logs.zip file in C:\Temp\NOS2 folder and screenshots in the error reporting form
- Disable log gathering by double-clicking the disable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start disabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are disabled" dialogue

You can send these log files, system information details to ovisuite.feedback@nokia.com mailbox.

I hate the new suite because I can't get rid o the recommendations (aka ads for ovi). I didn't pay for a phone just to get ads stuffed into my face.

I first tried OVI suite 1.  This was hopeless.  Having removed PC Suite, I could no longer sync with outlook.  OVI suite 2 was a major improvement - at least you could now sync with outlook and yes, it had a very cool (I wanted to say s*x* - but all it did was type bleep!) interface.  Out with PC Suite again and back to OVI.    As if headstrong with any success in OVI Suite 2, along came OVI Suite 3. 

My version does not have a calendar and does not Sync with the Outlook calendar. I have never been able to Sync my outlook notes.  In fact all of the 'Outlook' options are greyed out.  To top this, I get blasted with advertising for inane applications for which I have no interest. 

These problems are added to the fact that with my new E63 'smartphone' , I have never been able to get  'push' e-mail to work (so that I can say my phone is just as good as my friends' Blackberry!).

What a joy to get rid of OVI and bring back PC Suite.  Everything synced (quickly) first time and does every time I connect.  Please don't ever stop this product - its the only one that you offer that works!!
