Hi KarlSA,
Nokia suite uses the Windows default proxy configuration which is configurable from Settings -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings. In addtion to this the username and password for proxy can be configured from Nokia suite menu Tools-Options-General-Proxy. The server it is trying to connect is https://account.nokia.com (port 443).
Also, is there authentication needed on your corporate proxy? as IE proxy setting may not be enough. You may have to set the WinHTTP proxy setting via command line.
netsh winhttp set proxy <YOUR PROXY SERVER>:<PORT> "<EXCLUSION LIST>"
N.B. Be sure to run cmd.exe as administrator, when you set the winhttp proxy settings or speak to your IT administrator on this matter.

Hi, our proxy do have authentication. I did try my proxy login in different ways,(domain\username, Password) and (username, password) both ways no joy. Did also set winhttp. doesn't help. Skype running on my laptop as well, proxy setting for skype is automatic proxy detection.
When using IE proxy authentication are done from windows logon. I tried all the different solutions on the discussions still not working.

Hi KarlSA,
There is another discussion ongoing on betalabs,
RatPepp says that After severel attemps i can connect to my nokia account, but updateserver is not working - due to no connection to internet.
The proxy sever issue was fixed in this new Nokia Suite release.
This bug is again under investigation now! However, you can submit your error report along with the log files using the link http://tiny.cc/ja40z.
We will investigate it further.
Thanks,
Best regards,

I am also getting "No connection to the Internet." If I start Nokia suite and it needs to connect to the internet it continuously ask for proxy log in. It gives me the Idea that it doesn't want to authenticate.

Is it so difficult to implement a *complete* proxy handling procedure inside Suite?
It's been ages that I update thorough MAJOR versions saying always: "where is the ##@ proxy support??"
Or it's intended that we have to pay our operators using mobile as a modem when already connected through corporate's infrastructure... why many other *free* apps implements: PROXY ADDRESS: PORT authentication.

I also have the same problem..... I cannot understand how:
on Nokia Suite - I cant log into my account - cant connect to server
on Nokia Software Updater - I can view available updates - but cant install them - download failed
I've tried deleting expired certificates, uninstalling and installing, deleted registry keys, etc... but still no help..
My problems started with NS 3.3.84 Beta thought NS 3.3.86 would be fine but no.... all the other previous version i had no problems with.

Could you check your proxy settings?
Are you sure you are using the right proxy server for your network?
Can you browse the internet using Internet Explorer?

Same problem - can see the Belle update but to apply it I need to login and login fails (NS 3.3.86)
No FOTA update provided
No Mac support for update from home machine
Unable to login from office laptop
Nokia: You really have done everything to drive me away!

Hi.
- first, make sure that you have Nokia Suite 3.3.86 installed and in use (you can see version number in top right corner of Nokia Suite)
- do not delete the expired GTE certificate if you already delete it's okey. Just set your date correctly at the lower right of your screen. After you set it correctly try to login in nokia suite.
because i think that all certificate are sensitive in dates just set the date and year properly
- do you have some firewall software running? Does your firewall software allow Nokia Suite connecting to internet?
- Are you sure you have a right proxy server for your network? Can you browse
the internet using Internet Explorer?
- Did you change networks in any way before this occurred? Network disconnected and then connected for example?
- Does computer reboot help?
Hope anything is help!

I think the problem with the proxy settings is a fundamental lack of concern from the developers side. The problem has been dragging out for quite a while.
The root cause is the desire of programmers to write their code so that it agrees with a certain model of use cases, which unfortunately is too idealistic. Our problem does not fit their use cases and probably never will.
But here is my futile attempt to add to the heap of complaints so here goes: NOKIA PLEASE SORT THE PROXY SETTINGS!!!
Please leave the option for the user to specify the address and port e.g. 80! Use encryption on the packets, port 443 wont make it any saver in any case.
