After a short test run I am impressed with Ovi 3.0.0.284.
It can still sync contacts with my Thunderbird and the map functions are literally 'flying'!
I did not think I will ever say this about Ovi but well done Nokia! Still, it escapes me; why would I want to listen to music on Ovi???

They are developing Ovi (At The Moment???) and the new version is 3.0.0.290

Couple of comments.
1./ 3.0.0.290 is already available. I am installing it now. My fingers are crossed!
2./ After the Nokia/Microsoft 'wedding'' maybe Nokia will will be able to develop better software for Windows.
Privately I think it would have been a better move to Android instead of Windows7. Rumor says RIM is developing software to make Android Apps to run on Blackberry. Interesting world we live in.

Glad to report Ovi 3.0.0.290 seems to perform fine. It seems much faster than previous versions.
I am running Ovi on Windows 7 and I use Thunderbird 3.0.11.

Thanks!
I did not know about the new version.
When I clicked software updates in Ovi 2.2.1.23 I did not get any upgrade.
Then I read your message, installed 3.x and it worked!!!
Thanks again!

After installing the update to Ovi 3.0 I noticed messages and calendar entries weren't synced anymore.. The options are greyed out too so I can't even sync them manually..

In previous versions (2.x) syncing my E71 worked perfectly. Does anyone know how to solve this or to revert back to 2.x? Is there a stand-alone installer or something, instead of the web installer?
