Hi Vinay,

This problem appears to be resolved with 2.2.0.245. Just "up" the OVI Suite of my spouse's netbook and am now copying back SMS (over 2000 of them) into her N97 (which had mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago).

Can you confirm this from your side? However, be warned that new defects were introduced.

I haven't checked it yet but did you check the issues of:-

Reversed Message Header,
Missing Message Details
Reply option missing.

Please tell me whether the above bugs have been fixed or not.

Looks like they have finally solved my problem completely. You are saying that reply option is missing but I tried in my phone & this issue has also been fixed in this issue.

Please tell me how you install it in your pc,. Maybe I can help you in this.

Hi Vinay,

Good to know that 0.245 fixed your problems. May be half of the problem is hardware related after all. I just do an update from 2.1 to 2.2.0.245.

Other problems I faced is license transfer and duplicated transfer of music. Crashing of OVI Suite on plugging in of N97. N82 to reboot on connecting to OVI Suite. N97 kept switching to PC Suite mode regardless of choice as long as OVI Suite is running. Inability to transfer some SMS from OVI Suite to N97. Just to mention a few.

But don't worry about them. Will workaround them slowly; although some are impossible to workaround. From my expectation set by their track record, I kind of gave up hope on them fixing anything, so usually I try to find workarounds.

Sorry that you have so many issues with Nokia solutions.

Did you update Ovi Suite to 2.2.0.245 and did any of your current problems got solved and which are the ones still open?

Hi Alles,

Just updated to 2.2.1.23 today. And the first thing that hit me is the inability to use the sync "All" option. Although this was worked around in a couple of hours after some testing and doing a Google on this forum.

The auto-reboot of N82 persisted. And this time randomly. I used to be able to prevent the problem by plugging in the charger only after connecting my n82 to my laptop. I do wonder what's the new possible workaround.

BTW, my N82 is on the latest V 35.0.002.
