I have tried installing the Ovi Suite multiple times and am getting a variety of errors.  I don't know what to do!

I have tried installing a version I downloaded, as well as the version on my N8-00.

The error messages I've got are as follows:

"Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Users\Tim\AppData\Local\Temp\WPDNSE\SID-{20001...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information"

"Nokia Ovi Suite Installer has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

(From the N8-00 installer.)

"Something's gone wrong
Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Codecs\NokiaDecMP4ASP_H263.dll failed to unregister. HRRESULT-2147220472. Contact your support personnel."

"Something's gone wrong
Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Codecs\EmzDecMP4_H263.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personnel."

(From the installer I downloaded from the Nokia site today.)

Hey Timothy,

Try to do windows updates, install latest runtime library. also use latest ovisuite 3.1.0.91

before you try for new installation, make sure you have uninstalled all nokia applications and rebooted the PC once. 

Installing PCsuite cleaner might also help you.

Okay, I'll try this. Thanks for your help.

(I'm not too sure how I'd go about installing the latest runtime library, but I'll see if Google can help me.)

Visual C++ library can be downloaded free of cost from Microsoft website..

You can choose the one for your PC from the above link.

and PC suite cleaner is a sofware provided by Nokia fr a clean uninstallation of PC suite and related softwares. it works for ovi suite software too

Could you please try this?

Step 1
- Go to Progam and Features/Add Remove in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Repair.
Once repair is completed then please restart computer and check.

If Step 1 didnt work, then try the below step

Step2
-Go to Progam and Features/Add Remove in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Uninstall
Also uninstall the following f
- Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
- PC connectivity Solution

Run the following commands from Command Prompt:

msiexec /x {6D3245B1-8DB8-4A23-9CD2-2C90F40ABAF6}

msiexec /x {AF111648-99A1-453E-81DD-80DBBF6DAD0D}


Then right click my computer, click manage.
- Device Manager-Ports- If you find anything by name Nokia please unistall ( Dont remove anything else)

Then reinstall windows Installer from the link provided below
For Windows Vista and Windows 7

- Then restart computer.
- Download and install Ovi Suite
- Restart Computer again
- Connect the device, dont open Ovi Suite and wait for all the driver to be loaded by windows.
- Once done then lauch Ovi Suite.
- Check for the issue
