i have just installed a new 512mb card in my 6230i the phone has reconised the card but when i down load music to the card my phone give the message file is not formatted could someone please tell me what i am doing wrong ?

Click on memory card options, scroll down to Format mem. card it will say format memory card yes or no, click yes and that should be it.

hi i have a 512 mb mmc card for my 6230i that i bought and it all works fine but when i try to run the music player it says 'starting music player' and it has that loading bar thingy, and then the phone freezes. i have tried many things, such as formatting the mem card but it still isnt working, althought when i put a file on a 32mb mmc that came with the phone, it works. but does anyone have any ideas for the 512 mb mmc?#

I stumbled on a hint-'freeze' before it 'freezes'! After running 'music player'and you want to stop (1.)select and press 'stop'; (2.)before selecting and pressing 'exit' wait(freeze)for from fifteen to twenty seconds. this may resolve this nagging issue-if it works for you please let me and others know-thanks!!!

I've just been 2 one of the nokia club repair centres 4 an upgrade of the device,after using nokia pc suite to make a backup of the phone's data. After the upgrade,the music player performs better with the 1GB MMC even though performance is not perfect,yet it is good enough for me! The software upgrade was from V 03.40(23-05-05) to V 03.70(09 Jan 06). Funny replying to self twice,trying to help others! Thanks!!!
