Just lately I have been experiencing problems with the mass memory of my X6 16GB. The problem is that my phone is showing that I have about 6GB of memory free, which would be about right. However when I connect my X6 to my PC using a USB cable and selecting media transfer on my phone, and open OVI Player I am unable to transfer any new music to my phone as OVI player is showing that I have no free memory on my phone.

I think this started at about the time I downloaded the software update to my phone.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Please help. I only got this phone because of the memory capacity and music playing facility.

Hi

please try two things.

1) factory reset

if that does not help

2) format the mass memory.

before doing factory reset, please do back up your of your personal data to a memory card or Ovi suite.

hi, did you get the problem solved. I also have the same issue (and yes, it was after i installed latest software).  For months i thought it was a problem with Ovi as opposed to phone, not too sure now ;-/
