Nokia N95 8GB, Music player can not Display Japanese Characters

Hello,

So as mentioned in title i have Nokia N95 8GB and when i add music which has Artist's name/song's name in Japanese music player tends to display Squares instead of characters

So if possible, i would like some help. Been searching for threads throughout google for ages by now but nothing that matches my problem

I'm afraid the only way to add extra character sets to Nokia devices is to change the product code over to a code which provides an input language using that character set, or to specifically install that language pack. In other words, you'd need a phone where Japanese is a language option one way or another. The service centre may be willing to do this for you but I'm not sure. Believe me, you're not the only user bugging Nokia to make this something end-users can do.

Huge thanks, at least i have the info now.

Though is there any way for me to install language pack on my own?

Or only way to do it is to go to the service center, and ask them for help?

Indeed lots of people would like Nokia to offer installable languages, but the demand is unlikely to be significant enough to redesign the phone software to the extent needed for this. You'll likely find the same with other brands, be aware that any 'unauthorised' hacking that some individuals advertise risks damaging the phone and will invalidate your warranty. It really isn't worth going there.
