Hi,

Does anyone know how to turn the camera sound off?
i have tried going into the settings and camera tone only provides different sounds but no options for swtiching it off..help please!

Worth a try, it's worked on my phones...

There's a security issue with the noise - all about people's privacy when taking their photos... I don't really see why it's an issue... Digital Cameras have the option to turn their sounds off.

THe people might misunderstand you...better ask them before taking a shot.I don't prefer STOLEN shots(3250 can do that).
N3250 is a veteran of taking those stolen memories.

-Take someones picture with his face slapped.
-Send it to others via infrared or bluetooth

Please turn off Flash before taking someones picture.

For mine,there is!Even the general profile is activated.It's a N5300 and i'm free to prank somebody i want to play with.
At least Series 40 V3 Phones has something to boast(kinda rude)with or advantage over other phones.

I guess y were talkin bout camera clicks sound.
I think there might have been an option to turn the shutter sound on and off.
And in user guide nokia would have warned customers to behave accordin to proper situations in proper places i.e.,some places where people are gathered and dont want to be pranked as there are many pranker.
Y know, it's bout morale. Puttin this option totally banned means we are like the skool boys who are always lookin forward to take pictures without gettin noticed em.

But we Series 40 users and owners,are allowed to enable or disable this feature(Kinda tolerated/spoilt).Shh..don't tell them(Nokia Software Engineers),they might remove this setting on the future Series 40 phones.

I believe this only works on phones from certain regions, but the shutter sound can be turned off on some S60 phones by selecting the Silent profile and turning off the key sounds.

Apparently, some will still flash though as the light's used by the auto-focus.
