Currently, I can't select all songs by an artist and it is really bugging me--does belle have this "feature"? Thanks!

On pre-anna and Anna phones the Search widget will search your Music Library and return the Artist name which you tap through to a list of all tracks by an Artist

The list wil actually contain any track which has a tag of the Artists name.  So I search Lee 'Scratch' Perry and I get his songs sung by him [Artist] his Open The Gate compilation [AlbumArtist] and some songs he wrote but are performed by say Bob Marley [Composer]. 

Plus you can't easily make a playlist as far as I can see.  But hey, it's a start.

For a high end smart phone the music player is a real dumb beast.
