n97 nokia mail mail unable to set up/start up

new to the n97, downloaded nokia mail and was working ok. then i noticed i had a not working sign at the top off the screen (circle with diagonal line through it) and i was no longer getting mail. Unistalled nokia mail and reinstalled but i am now unable to get it to run. when i try to set up nokia mail i get "allow app to use network to send and receive data?". No matter if i say yes or no the app shuts down leaving me unable to set up. I have tried uninstalling~reinstalling and have also updated~reinstalled the phones software but nothing i do can get it to run.Anyone got any ideas?  thanks in advance....:smileyhappy:

I have the exact same problem as you do.

Tried everything myself too, including factory reset & reinstall of latest firmware; nothing helped.

 

I installed the app from gmail, and that one works for me.

 

 

I'm curious if anyone has any ideas.
