Hi all,
I have a Yahoo Plus account on yahoo.com which seems to use different email servers from the basic free Yahoo accounts. The default Yahoo Mail setup on the 5800 XM assumes the imap server used with the free accounts and will not allow the server type to be reset to pop3 used with the Plus accounts. It tells me to create a new email account instead - but how?
It seems I need to find a menu on the phone that can create an email account (with all custom options like servers, protocal etc) plus presumably, be able to delete unwanted email accounts etc.
Can anyone tell me how to do this (step by step)?
Thx

ps: Although I have downloaded Nokia Messaging now, I would like to have the native email functionality working properly.

Never mind, I've found out how to do it:
Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> E-Mail -> Mailboxes -> Options ->
Then you can select [New Mailbox] or [Delete]
To create custom server settings, after selecting [New Mailbox] , you get some textual instructions. Hit Start and select what connection to use.
You now get prompted for an email address. If you do enter that address here, you will get shoved into a default process (which you may not want).
However, if you hit [Cancel], you will now see some different text instructions and a new [Start] button.
Now when you hit [Start], you will be prompted for the mailbox protocol (i.e. pop3 or imap etc) and you can go on to define server names and settings.
Hope that helps.

I had to do one more thing which was to set up a fake account: user_name@yhg.com. Then I could change those settings.
