X6 IMAP4 email problems

Gmail works fine on my mobile with GPRS as well as WLAN. I am trying to set up another IMPA4 email account. After setting up and trying to retrieve mails, it goes to

"Connecting to Mail box ..."

and stays on for a few minutes. After 3-4 minutes, it gives an error "Mailbox disconnected. Mail idle for specific time" and comes out without retrieving any emails.

What is the problem and any solution please?
