Setting up email on N95

[ Edited ]
Just got an N95 and assumed yahoo email would be trivial (like on my previous MDA Vario) but having just wasted half a day thought worth posting some comments on here. I had no trouble at all setting up a yahoo.co.uk email, once I'd followed the advice here to go to yahoo mail Options and select the POP & Forwarding (why is this not on by default?) - no need to change port from default or togggle security to SSL (works with either). HOWEVER, I signed up for my main yahoo.com email before yahoo.co.uk existed and on that type of account there are ***no options*** under the POP & Forwarding, except Mail Plus at £12/yr. Without that you have to use the browser to read yahoo, or pay, or switch to yahoo.co.uk email. Hope that helps clarify one issue.

Re: Setting up email on N95

Hi

Yes,I'm having probs with my n95 just now.

I am trying to get it to work with a Netgear router, which my laptop does quite effectively.

It (the Nokia) started sending e mails but now it will not.

I have firm ware version V31.0.017 in it.  Is this the latest vesion?

I see the phone hasAOLl, BT and Yahoo on it by default.  Does this mean I need to open a yahoo account to receive e mails?

Any of you guy who have done this, some guidance would be much appreciated as I really don't know what to try next.

Thanks in advance. .... (hope its ok to G.crash this thread!)

David
