Sending E-Mails from a Nokia N95 8GB

I've recently set my Google Mail account up on my Nokia N95 8GB. I can receive emails easily, but I cannot send them. I need to fix this problem ASAP as I'm setting up a Blogger Mobile account, and I want to photoblog a cinema showing of one of my films on the website of the team of filmmakers I'm in.

Any help?

Thanks.

Check the email connection settings -> Outgoing e-mail...

Username: your_email@gmail.com
Password: *******
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
Security (ports): SSL/TLS
Port: Default

I guess you have POP/IMAP enabled on the GMail account, so if it still does not work, check the Access point and make sure it is the one that you use for the Incoming messages.

But if everything is OK with settings, you might want to check with the operator. The network might be blocking the ports/protocol. Anyway, most of the operators provide free SMTP server for their clients, so check with them...

Re: Sending E-Mails from a Nokia N95 8GB

Thanks, that fixed the mail problem. I've now registered with Blogger Mobile, but upon testing it by sending an MMS message (since I won't have a wireless connection around when photoblogging the cinema screening) my MMS message is moved to the outbox with the message "Resend at 14:37". The message will not send and the time for resending is delayed every time that time is reached. This is also happening when I try to send an MMS to anybody.

Re: Sending E-Mails from a Nokia N95 8GB

This is a problem with the MMS settings. Which operator are you with? Check on operator's page for MMS settings. Most of the operators provide separate settings for the MMS and Internet.

Re: Sending E-Mails from a Nokia N95 8GB

Thanks, I'm all set to use MMS now. The problem is, I'm sending the MMS messages, and they're being sent successfully, but they're not turning up at the email address I send them to.

Re: Sending E-Mails from a Nokia N95 8GB

I've also recently set my Google Mail account up on my Nokia N95 8GB messaging (via IMAP). I can receive emails easily, but I cannot send them as well as the attachment(s).

The phone says something like "Feature is not supported"

I tried to follow your advise on port settings to default, however still have the problem.

Would appreciate your help!

Thanks
