Saving predictive text words fails

How do, is there a limit to the amount of words a phone (in this case 6300) can store in predictive texting? as my phone wont save anymore words. do i need to do an update?

I think the limit is linked to the phones memory. I haven't heard of there being a limit. If there is, it's something very few people know.
