i was saving my messages on the memory card. Last week i had to reboot my phone and after that am unable to access the message folder on teh memeory card. nw my messages are being stored on the phone memory. i have tried changing the location. hw can i access the messages on the memory card. what the extension for sms files. need to retrieve the messages as i have a lot of important data stored in them.

There is one way to retrieve messages stored on ur mem card connect ur phone to the PC using nokia PC suite(U didnt mention which phone r u using??) before connecting it to PC go to messaging->options->settings->other change the storage location to memory card update to latest version of Nokia PC suite (http://www.nokia-asia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-pc-suites/compatibility-a...#)

install PC suite and start the messages icon in it and u can view all the messages stored on ur card even u can copy them store in any other place

thanks. however am unable to change the storage location. am using an E65. have already tried using pc suite - hasn't worked. is there any way i can copy the message file from the memory card. do u know the extension of the sms files?

sad that didnt come out fruitful for you i reckon there is no specific format for messages stored in the mem card
