Just bought an unlocked boxed 5800 off eBay and using it on the Orange network. I can get on the internet fine and making and receiving calls is OK. I can receive texts OK but I cannot send them. They just sit in the outbox. I think the phone was originally on the O2 network as there are references to it in the menus.

I have gone to Messages, options, settings, txt message, message centres and it only gives me one option and that is "3" Is this the 3 network? When I choose Open it gives the message centre number of +44782000800 with a purple asterisk by it. Is this the 3 or O2 message centre number? If I double click this I get the message "Unable to change setting. Value read from SIM card" My SIM card is my Orange SIM card I have used perfectly OK on Omnia and N95.

How can I get this number changed so I can send texts on my home network, Orange? I have called Orange and they are struggling to help. They have sent configuration text messages and done factory resets but no help. 

Can anybody out there help please, as apart from this I am really pleased with the phone.
