Hi,

I recently bought a Nokia 5230 phone, I installed Nokia messaging mail service, Installation was fine.. After restarting the phone, the sms provisioning begun but it says conatcting the server for a really long time.... I have a vodafone connection... What could be the problem here?

try to check your mobile access point or destination in settings

leave behind VODAFONE MOBILE CONNECT and delete the rest access points from INTERNET destination.

then try

But wt I have been observing is that I'm able to connect only with WAP and not with Vodafone mobile connect... I hav deleted all the access ponts. I have two access points now:

1.Vodafone mobile connect

2. WAP (0)

Make Vodafone connect as ur default access point.

But I'm not able to connect to the internet if I make vodafone mobile connect as my default access point. I'm confused...

I always browse using Vodafone Live(WAP)....  

In In Connections manager I see the following:

-Internet(It has 1 access point called Vodafone)

-WAP services(it has one access point called vodafone live)

Now tell me what is the difference between these two should I delete one of them?

For browsing internet over mobile, u hav to subscribe VODAFONE MOBILE CONNECT.

vodafone live can be used only for limited sites .For NM u hav to subscribe VODAFONE MOBILE CONNECT.

Vodaphone live :

• Its a low bandwidth internet. Commonly used to browse somw wap( basic websites). You cannot do online transaction using any website and cannot download any data intensive material as downloading a 5Mb song. It works as "service road".

Vodafone mobile connect:

• Its a high bandwidth internet connectivity giving full access to intenet with no limitation for browsing and downloading of any type of content.

And Vodaphone mobile connect has to be activated from vodafone where you have to choose a data plan as according to your usage.
