Please fix this bug a.s.a.p.
The latest (version 4) firmware for my E71 breaks integration of Nokia Messaging into Gallery etc. I cannot open a picture and choose to send it by e-mail anymore ! Also ... Nokia Messaging doesn't show up as installed e-mail box when trying to set it as default mailbox in the menu settings.
Anyone else have this problem also ?

Yes, I have the same problem. See >> [E71] Cannot directly send photos via Nokia Email (version 9.6.0.12)

Well ... here we go again.
Users will have to wait for a long time ... and can only hope... for a fix of yet another bug. There is no communication, roadmap, feedback from Nokia at all. Instead of fixing things in new releases, they often break existing features. Instead of USING my phone .. I often feel like i've bought a Nokia because I like the frustration of waiting for software fixes.
I was planning to buy an E72, but when i read here about the most BASIC messaging functions that fail on that device too (all because of weak testing) .. I am really hesitating now.
I sometimes have a vision of Nokia's development team .. some talented people that have become the victim of stupid marketeers .. and now have only one statement in their head : 'Hey it compiles ... let's ship it ... and move over to the next useless social networking app.. .'

Hello,
@box30 - sorry to hear you feel this way. We are currently working on the fix to this bug that occurred during the PR release, and will be deploying it shortly after the new year. Sorry for a couple of weeks of frustration on this one.
We are listening, we do care, and we take user feedback very seriously. Thanks,

i had quite a few issues with this when i first started using it. i cant believe i kept my e71 for a year before i tried setting up the email. everything works perfectly for me after upgrading to v400.21.013 firmware and build 9.6.0.24 (main) of Nokia Messaging. I can successfully send pictures directly from the Gallery, though the mailbox from Nokia Messaging does not integrate with the default location for it, which is probably what was originally intended, though I cannot imagine why.
One quirk that may be related that I should mention: sync only works when the Hours for "When to sync" is set to "on all day" instead of something custom, like 8am-11pm, my original setting which did not sync successfully. I also have it pull every 15 mins, if thats relevant. it's worked well for 2 days so far.

It has been solved by the Nokia Messaging developers.
Download Nokia Messaging with build number 9.6.0.24.

Yeh, thanks, finally. Nokia is still at least 3 years behind with all the stuff. .. emails, html emails, exchange, gmail, push..... it's like 2003 for Nokia... I mean, Hello?? Nokia? Wake up.
What is Nokia doing now with messaging is like some Experimental stuff. It should have been running already.
By the way, it takes some time to setup the Messaging. First time started the Email panel shows Calendar and contacts icons.. Then after several tries I managed to setup email accounts and the Calendar and Contacts Icons disappear (mysteriously) and instead I am finally presented with Gmail or Yahoo icons.
Not sure if Messaginig is officially supported in Canada, but I don't think so, just a handful of 35 countries. (Nobody is buying Nokias in North America anymore).
The trick to get setup is that you already have to have an account with Nokia Messaging (Nokia Email). I opened it 2 years ago, when it was still a beta service. Now you can't set it up if you are in Canada. I heard it's limited to 35 coutries and Canada is not among them. Possibly functionality hidden within firmware because of country code. Not sure, many people who aren't able to use Nokia Email on E71 devices say different things.
When you setup Messaging, you have to add an email address which is already setup in Messaging on the Nokia's Email website.
Bravissimo! We made it. Nokia made us buyers to some brainless puppies following its footsteps. Not for long, since I really like the work Apple did on iPhone and Google with Droid have done.
I have just 3 big words for today's business world:
1) Enabled
2) Simplified
3) Reliable
Good luck Nokia, you will really need it. Write this down.
