Hopefully that manages to point you in the right direction.
I do not have the menu options on the N97 Nokia Messaging. I only have Option > Tools > Settings > General > There are four tabs across the top of the page and nowhere is there a "Message Display" option.

hi!
i have been using Nokia Messaging for some time but then was forced to choose SEVEN. Nokia Messaging desn't support OWA which is very important for me. Whereas SEVEN is real cool. they have a fantastic customer support and the application works quite well. i must say SEVEN really works well & the best is that its FREE.
unless and ofcourse Nokia improves itself drastically i guess there will be a few takers for Nokia messaging.

This is with the (almost current) version of the Nokia Messaging downloadable from http://email.nokia.com - Looks like the native version for your N97 mustn't be quite the same as what the current Nokia Messenging version is.
Head over to http://email.nokia.com and register your email account, download it to your phone and see how you go.
If I'm not wrong (apoligises if I am) the default email client for the N97 probably doesn't have native HTML support out of the box (much like the default client on my E71).

About the only thing that frustrates me with Seven is that their client doesn't have any HTML support support (which is the only reason I'm keeping with this horrifically unreliable Nokia Messenging.
I certainly won't be buying another Nokia(after this one), EVER that's for sure!

Hi,
I have probably a simple question wich I hope, will have a simple solution.
When I delete a message from inbox (Nokia Messaging) it goes to deleted/trash folder.
I have some 2 K deleted messages there since I havent found the "empty trash" command from the Nokia Messaging yet.
How do I empty that folder?
regards, sami

That's very interesting. I've had a friend check on his 6120 classic running the same version and his is the same as mine. Perhaps there's a slightly different version of the Nokia Messenging application for your handset.
According to Options > About: (I'm current using): Product Version 5.3, Build: 9.5.3.72 (main).

Is anybody here able to set Nokia Messaging as default mailclient when sending a picture from Gallery or File Manager ?
I can't ... my E71 (fw 300.x.x) does not recognize Nokia Messaging as an e-mail client in other apps.
Serious shortcoming if u ask me. Hope it gets fixed.

Hi All.....New N97 & Nokia Messaging user....Install and config seems to have went okay.....However everytime NM does a send/receive....I get message maximum number of connections in use....I can close one manually...but always get this message....
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this....I have disabled all web enabled widgets so...I think the only apps connecting to the Web are Mail for Exchange and Nokia Messaging..
Not sure I can keep using this if there is no resolution

To purchase ProfiMail 3.14:
Go to http://www.symbiangear.com when you buy Profimail 3.14 and use promo code MOBILESHOPyou will receive a 25% discount.
Total price: $24.12 USD.
What I like is if I delete mail it will remove from the server. Great for getting rid of junk and spam throughout the day.

Come on guys. I understand some of the frustrations. And sure .. Nokia needs to catch up on software big time. But please stay on topic and try to be constructive .. with these 'spam' like posts this forum won't last long.
Stop that nonsense please.

I can't get Nokia Messaging for the Nokia 5800 (Tube).
I created an account on the NM site, selected my phone, and downloaded the application. The phone warned me that I had the wrong version of the application but I installed it anyway - sure enough it seemed to be a non-touchscreen version. So I uninstalled and went through the whole process again making sure that I selected the right phone. The result was the same - it is giving me the wrong version.
I foound several other discussions of how to download it to my phone. For example, I can supposedly go to email.nokia.com and download from there, but when I browse to that site on my phone it gives me the same site that I see on my desktop browser: the only way to download is the way that I have already tried.
A confirmation e-mail that I received from Nokia Messaging told me that I could download by browsing to "tttp://netac12.vie.hosting.nokia.com" on my phone, and then I could select the download link, but there is no download link on that page. (Wow, Nokia really isn't ready for prime time yet, are they.)
The only thing that I can think of that might be causing a problem is that I bought the phone from Rogers Canada and I've had other problems that turned out to be caused by changes that they made.
Any suggestions?
The messaging client that came with the phone can't handle my IMAP account (it always runs out of memory) so I really need to try something else.
Thanks,

I'm able to get the account setup on email.nokia.com however not so much on the E71.
I'm in Canada.
I setup MSN on the previous version and viola I get the email on the msn account (only this nokia messaging email) stating I need to upgrade the app to use the new version. This was at 8AM EST and I got the latest version and its working ... no PC/Mac connection required ... and I did this over wlan at home while still in bed.
