Hi I have a Nokia 3250 and have been experiencing problems when send SMS / MMS messages. The first 3250 I had started going funny after a week or so whereby you when you have written your message and clicked for it to send the sending message box would come up but if a button was pressed it would freeze and even if no button was pressed it wold take anything up to a minute to actually send the message and then allow you to carry on using the phone. I was told this may be a software problem and another new handset was sent to me. At first this worked fine but now the phone is only a week old it has started developing the same fautl, although not as bad as the first it still freezes and wont allow anything to be done on the phone until the message gets sent. I have tried the sim card in a Motorola and it works fine (the sim is only 2-months old). Has anyone else experienced this on the 3250????

Sounds like a software fault though, it's possible your replacement could be from the same batch or something. You could either get it replaced again or what I'd suggest is to take it to a Nokia engineer who may be able to fix it for you by updating the software.

i just purchased nokia 3250 before 2 weeks and experiemced the same problem as mentioned by you, 1st i ignor it thought may set has slow processing speed as it is with some sets but one of my colleagues has same model and his set is perfactly allright.

i talked with the dealer he said just submit is he will send it to company and reinstall the software or do anyother thing if necessary to solve the problem.

There must be some way of putting it right.

How do you get the code to perform a master reset? (after backing up the phone)

Fixed it!!

I backed everything up, performed a master reset, restored all data and now it's fine )

If I only have to do this every 2 weeks I'll put up with it.

ste, I'd stay in touch with a Nokia engineer because I'd think a software update should sort this out for you. You shouldn't have to reformat your phone every 2 weeks.

Might not necessarily have to reset every 2 weeks... but if I do then I guess it could eventually get on my nerves enough to see an engineer.

Can we not update the software ourselves somehow? I could update the software on my old Motorola V3 myself.

no, you cant update this yourself for this phone. you would need to take it to an engineer.
