Hey,
I got the "System Error. Try again later" error appear for the first time on Sunday night after 8 happy months running on my E71, this morning I blew away the existing Mail for exchange install (v3) and re-installed it again directly from the ovi store......seemed to work for a little while then died. Tried full re-synch, again worked for a little while and died.
I haven't worked out how to fix the problem but I did come up with a workaround that lets you keep operating in a pinch, here's what I did:
1. Delete the certificate
2. Go into Mfe and launch a sync
3. When prompted to install the untrusted certificate choose to accept once (not always)
It will now sync on on a manual sync without errors, as long as you always say "once" you can continue to use this method. If you choose the "always" option it will fail again pretty quickly if not immediately and you'll need to go delete the certificate again.
I assume a proper signed certificate might fix this but it used to work so Im reluctant to buy one for this reason, I can only hope Nokia can fix this sooner rather than later. Especially considering that the iPhones in the office work so well.
Cheers,
Jason.
(FYI, I run a SBS 2003 server that creates the certificate in question.)

I have the same problem:
Nokia N97mini, Mail for Exchange 3.00.073, sync contacts and calendar with Google. Everything worked OK, but since this morning I always have the message "System error. Try again later."
Where can I delete the certificate?

On an e71 you goto the following:
settings>general>security>certificate management

Meanwhile I tried the following:
Delete actual MfE profile, then create a new profile (with the same parameters as before), since then it works again!
Thanks anyway! rolf_thomas
PS on the N97 after settings there is no item "general"

Hi
The workaround works just perfect, however now it is not possible to use autosync. As you get a question everytime.
Why is this an issue?, I have used my exchange server 2003 with MFE many years now. And suddently it stops working. Is it a Microsoft Update ? - will it help to reformat (Hardreset) my Nokia.

Well, since no one can give me an answer, I will now give you a more permanent work around.
Visit your webmail, and download your certificate as a .der file - then copy it to your nokia phone, and install it via the file manager in nokia.
Now you can choose to user the certificate permanent in MFE, and now more weird errors.
Why one suddently have to do this I still have no answer for.
