Re: Mail For Exchange V2

Completed the upgrade this morning, went very smoothly.

So far so good, the GAL lookup is the feature I wanted/have been waiting for and it works a treat - thank you Nokia

Re: Mail For Exchange V2

Wow, nokia getting something right for a change!

I'm shocked!!!

I will have to download this later for my E65, hopefully it will work for long enough without crashing to actually use it!

Re: Mail For Exchange V2 /problems updating

aaaagh!.............I upgraded from 1.6 to 2.0 on my E61 and N95. Now neither work. I was forced to delete 1.6 on both devices to allow the upgrade. I had both devices working perfectly under 1.6 but now cannot connect to the Exchange server. I get various error messages stating credentials incorrect etc. I can successfully log into the Exchange server using https from the phone's web browser and it will accept my user name and password. Any idea where I'm going wrong? Do I need to do some form of reset? Any suggestions welcome.

Re: Mail For Exchange V2 /problems updating

Very stange, I have only upgraded my E65 so far but it went smooth as.

Reading www.e-series.org a number of people are having problems with the upgrade.

I could only suggest a backup, reset and reinstall.

Lots of good work has been accomplished here. Also the accept/decline of meeting requests is working. If only Nokia could activate the mail plugin in the active standby screen for the N95, I would be VERY happy. This is of course a policy decision by Nokia, but when they accepted M4E to work on the N95 after some thinking (from 1.6.1 on) I just can't see why not have the mail plugin work as well.

Are you reading this M4E-team?

Henning

Re: Mail For Exchange V2 /problems updating

Install V2, works just fine but I'm having trouble using the GAL lookup, it will start searching then close, no result return. I check the admin_log.txt and it list :
22/08/2007 14:47:12 Setting ROAMING status to False
22/08/2007 14:52:44 Setting ROAMING status to False
22/08/2007 15:14:23 Create User Initiated Job:51, Type:"UnKnown Job":
22/08/2007 15:14:32 HTTP error code=400
22/08/2007 15:14:32 HTTP Server Error 400: Bad Request

Anybody has a clue what went wrong ?

Re: Mail For Exchange V2

I found MfE 2.0 to be unusable on my e65 because it seems to refuse to use the Memory Card.

I have tried the lot (upgrade + full resync, new profile, uninstall first and clean install). I can create the profile and do a full resync fine but as soon as I try to access the mailbox I get an error message "Can not access Memory Card - changing storage to device memory". This is totally unusable as all the other mail profiles that are stored on the memory card and become inaccessible.

There is no problem with the memory card as all other apps use it without problems.

I had to downgrade to MfE 1.5 which works fine.

Does anybody have a similar issue - and has anybody been able to get any response from Nokia on these types of issues ? Is there support for MfE available ?

Cheers,

Hi,
I have the same proble and receive the same error. M4E work just fine when synchronising emails and calendar but when trying to use company directory i'm facing the same problem.
After upgrading to M4E 2.0.1 I made a full Sync and guess what!!! My phone book disappear and when making a new sync I got it again.
I'll appriciate if anybody know how to solve this problem.
Regards,

P.S.: My handset is N95 with V12.0.013

Re: Mail For Exchange V2 /problems updating

I have a E61, we have our own, SBS 2003. I have been using the MFe for about 4-5 months. and has been working very good. (once I configured everything right of course :/ ). But GAL or Company Directory has never worked.

And one of the problems I was thinking. of. Which Company Directory will it use? There is no where to select or configure. Does it assume the First one?. If that is the case it will be blank. I was hoping that someone would know of a Config file to define it somewhere.

Thanks

Steve
