MFE ondemand sync instead of push

I'm posting this in light of the new Google Calendar sync aimed at S60, however it's more to do with the phone's/MFE's syncing behaviour which is why I'm posting here. Essentially, because the mobile networks on the UK all impose ludicrous charges on mobile data usage, I want to be able to use MailForExchange only in 'ondemand' sync mode. What I would like to do is to be able to hit a 'sync' button and have it do a onetime sync, and then of course I would only do this when connected to a wifi network to avoid using mobile data. Is it possible to do this with MFE or is push-sync just an inevitable part of the platform?

PS: I don't have the faintest idea- I don't have an S60 phone yet, I'm planning to get one (most likely a 5800) within the next week or so.

Re: MFE ondemand sync instead of push

It is easy - just set the MfE sync mode to "manual". In that case, the device syncs only when you want (manuall).

There is a user guide available for MfE - http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/mail_for_exchange_downloads.php

Brilliant, that's what I was hoping for. Just wanted to make sure the sync would be worthwhile before I go and buy an S60 phone :smileytongue: Thanks!
