Re: Nokia E63 that won't sync to Hosted Exchange

Hi Sarah, I know this is a long time ago but I am experiencing the same problem. Can you tell me whether you used the domain of your e-mail address or the domain the server is in?

Thanks in advance.

Filip

Re: Nokia E63 that won't sync to Hosted Exchange

Dear Filip, Forget trying to use MfE for E71/E63. It will never work. MfE works in N8 and so series phones though. I switched to Android and never coming back. Oh there is no place to come back at all :smileyhappy:

Hey Willsay, thanks for your advice. Any chance RoadSync will do?

Re: Nokia E63 that won't sync to Hosted Exchange

In the most of the Exchange connection, domain is optional. You can leave it blank. I guess it is the certificate you missed installing (if your Exchange https service does not use one of the commercial authoratitive service provider like VeriSign, Thwate etc). So if you are using your own certificate for https for owa, you should download and install it first.

As far as stability of MfE is concerned, version 2.7 is stable which will require you reinstall in around 3 weeks when it stops working mysteriously. Version before 2.7 has very less features and you wouldn't want it.

RoadSync is stable. One biggest flaw of RoadSync is like you are running this app totally outside of your phone. For example you've email address mentioned in your phone contacts. RoadSync will not auto complete that email address when you are composing email. So either you remember it, or go to contacts and memorize the email address first and then type it everything in RoadSync.

Re: Information from Nokia about a sync error with Mail for Exchange and an Exchange 2007 server

I have the same problem, only that it occurred months after Mf E working properly. Suddenly the gmail sync seems to stop everything else and sometimes after a full resync it works for a day or two, and then it stops working again.

I am short of replacing my Nokia phone with a WinMobile phone just because I cannot afford messing up appointments.

What does that mean: "A new version of Mail for Exchange that includes a fix for this problem will be released soon" ==> I want to know WHEN.

Which phone are you using? I had chance to use N8/C7 for couple of weeks with Anna and Belle and Exchange Sync worked without flaw during that time. I moved to Android and ActiveSync works flawless. Win7 phones should work equally good as it is Microsoft's own domain. Goodluck.

Edited: If your primary email is Gmail, then Android is the path you should go for confidence level.
