I installed the Windows Live client on my N95 about 12 months ago and have since uninstalled it because the "Nokia Mail" client is a much better solution. The app uninstalled successfully but I still have the "Windows Live" entry within the messaging client that I can't delete, it contains 50 items that I can neither open or delete.
I've searched for a solution without success other than backup, reset / reformat the handset and restore which restores the entry. Is there another solution out there as I don't really want to lose the messages that are on the phone.
The Windows Live support team directed me to Orange and / or Nokia as its a handset / software issue.
Thanks,
Alun.

The problem is being caused by the backup before you reboot the phone as certain parts of windows live are being backed up and you are putting them straight back into the phone when reinstalling the backed up data.
The way I went about this was to import my messages and contacts into the Nokia PC Suite so they are there for safe keeping, but I did not backup the phone and just used the Software Updater to reinstall the FW this will get rid of it but bare in mind you will have to download some of the APPS from the Nokia website.
Hope this helps.
